Led Zeppelin Confirmed Working on New Materials

Led Zeppelin's drummer Jason Bonham revealed that they, minus vocalist Robert Plant, are back in the studio for the first time in more than 20 years.

Talks of a new album from Led Zeppelin may have made their rounds following the legendary group's monumental reunion gig at O2 in December last year, but it is not until now that the issue comes closest to the truth. Drummer Jason Bonham revealed that they are indeed in the studio working on new materials.

Jason, who has been filling the position left by his late dad John, guitarist Jimmy Page, and bassist John Paul Jones have conducted creative sessions in London for the first time in more than twenty years. "I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying to do some new material and some writing," Jason said. "I don't know what it will be, but it will be something." However, vocalist Robert Plant who has been engaged in another project, is not yet included in the studio work and may be encouraged by his band mates to jump in.

Furthermore, the highly-demanded full-scale tour from the band may come to a fruition after all with Jason giving a notice to his side project Foreigner that he will no longer drum for them starting this September. "The possibility of doing something is on the cards," Jason added. "I really felt it was on the cards from the moment we walked off stage at the O2."

"At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material. Whatever it ends up as, to get a chance to jam with two people like that is a phenomenal thing for me. When I get there, I never ask any questions."
